LAS VEGAS — No. 6 Saint Mary's (7-0) continued their dominant start to the 2019 season by clinching a neutral site 2-1 win over Utah Valley and winning the Peter Johann Memorial Classic hosted by UNLV.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Anders Engebretsen got the scoring started for the Gaels in just the 13th minute by converting a penalty kick for the early 1-0 lead. The senior forward is now 4-for-4 on PK attempts this season and ranks at the top of the country in total goals with eight.
Closing in the final minutes of play, Jake Rudel tallied his second goal of the year off a pass from Anders Engebretsen in the 83rd minute.
