SAN DIEGO — For the first time this season, No. 4 Saint Mary's did not walk off the field victorious as the Gaels and Toreros tied 1-1 on Friday night. With the draw, Saint Mary's is still undefeated in their last 19 matches dating back to last season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first half, the Gaels (14-0-1, 3-0-1 WCC) got on the board in the 67th minute thanks to a penalty kick goal by Stephen Dougherty. The senior has recorded all five of his tallies on PK opportunities this season.
