Box Score MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's faced West Coast Conference rival Santa Clara in a non-conference match on Sunday and came away with a 2-0 win thanks to a pair of second half goals. The Gaels improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory.
Saint Mary's did not record a shot in the first half but came alive shortly into the second period with two goals within seven minutes of each other. In the 60th minute, Louis Sterobo sent a long through ball up the left side and Andrew Rotter sprinted past his defender, tracked down the ball, and deposited it to the left side to put SMC up 1-0.
