STOCKTON, Calif.— With a pair of first half goals and a stout defensive effort in the entire 90 minutes, the Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team recorded its third straight win over the past two weeks, and claimed the vital three points with a 2-1 win over Pacific.
The win snaps an impressive eight game win streak by the Tigers.
The Gaels (5-5-3, 1-0 WCC) totaled eight shots in the match, with five in the first 45 minutes. The Tigers (8-3, 0-1 WCC) outshot SMC with 12 shots, but the Gaels proved to be the more efficient team with six shots on goal.
