STANFORD, Calif. — The Gaels will face two Bay Area teams this week in exhibition matches as they ramp up for non-conference play. Saint Mary's will travel to the West Bay tomorrow to take on Stanford before coming back east for another road contest against Cal.
SMC will look to build on their 6-6-5 record from last season with a relatively young team. The Gaels have 11 new freshmen as well as two transfers and a lone senior in Stephen Dougherty. Saint Mary's looks to continue their strong play that they finished the season with as the team is undefeated (2-0-2) in their last four contests.
