DENVER — In the backend of the Colorado road trip, Saint Mary's men's soccer showed tremendous heart and fight, defeating soccer powerhouse Denver, 1-0, Sunday night at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
The impressive win moves the Gaels to 2-3-2 on the season, as the Pioneers drop to 4-4 on the year.
After a tough first half that saw four impressive saves from sophomore keeper Remi Prieur, the Gaels flipped the script, and poured on the pressure in the remaining 45 minutes.
The Gaels outshot the Pioneers 4-2 in the second half, but had just one shot find the frame.
