MORAGA, Calif. — For the second straight game, Saint Mary's Anders Engebretsen provided fire power on offense and two goals to lead the Gaels to a 2-0 victory over Detroit Mercy on Sunday. Saint Mary's improved to 2-0 on the season while the Titans fell to 0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, Engebretsen got the scoring started for the Gaels just minutes into the second half. Saint Mary's took the 1-0 lead as Engebretsen ran up on Jakub Svehlik's cross through the box and deposited it into the back of the net for his third goal of the season.
