SAN BRUNO, Calif. — It was announced today by the West Coast Conference that Saint Mary's men's soccer alum Anders Engebretsen has been named the 2020 Mike Gilleran WCC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, adding yet another award to the Norwegian forward's jam packed trophy case.
The Mike Gilleran Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is given out each year by the WCC to honor a male and female student-athlete who exemplify outstanding performances on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
Engebretsen held a 3.69 GPA in economics and pulled off an exceptionally rare feat capturing First Team All-American and First Team Academic All-American honors as a senior in Moraga.
