MORAGA, Calif. – Mitchell Hoey's performance at the Ping Cougar Classic has earned him the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week Award for the week of April 24.
Hoey had the best third round of any golfer in the 92-player field with a 65 on the par-72 course. That monster third round led to him finishing in a tie for 11th overall at 7-under par.
The sophomore climbed 25 spots on the leader board in the final round and finished at 209 strokes, 1-under on par threes, and 6-under on par fives.
