BARK RIVER, Mich. - The Saint Mary's men's golf team held on to a fifth place finish at the 2025 Island Resort Intercollegiate hosted by South Dakota State Monday afternoon. There was no shortage of low scores for the three rounds at Sage Creek as the Gaels put together a 17-under second round to sit alone in third place. They would finish just three-under-par on Monday in the final round but hang on for a top-five finish to start the season.
After redshirting his first collegiate season, Sam Baumuller came out hot in his debut with a score of 11-under over his three rounds to help lead the Gaels.
