The men’s basketball team wrapped up their last road trip of the season in the Pacific Northwest at Portland and Gonzaga. The Gaels swept both teams in the series. The Gaels beat Portland, on Thursday, 74-72 and improved to 21-4 in the season and 12-3 in the West Coast Conference.
The Gaels and Pilots battled back-and-forth throughout the game with neither team leading by more than seven points. Throughout the game, there were 19 ties and 16 lead changes. In a post-game interview, Saint Mary’s Head Coach Randy Bennett said, “It was back-and-forth.
