MORAGA, Calif. -- The nationally ranked Saint Mary's men's basketball program announced the addition of sharpshooting freshman guard Tommy Kuhse to its talented class of incoming freshmen.
A native of Mesa, Ariz., Kuhse averaged 21 points, 4 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2 steals per game as a senior to lead Mountain View High School to a section title and the Division 1 state quarterfinals. He earned second team all-Arizona honors for the second straight season and was named the city player of the year.
Under Gary Ernst, the winningest high school coach in Arizona, he set school records for most points in a single game (42), most made 3-point field goals in a game (10) and best career free throw percentage (.
