MBK | No. 25 Gaels Suffer Cold Shooting In Provo

PROVO, Utah -- The Saint Mary's men's basketball team was unable to overcome its worst shooting performance of the season Thursday in a 70-59 setback in front of 14,897 fans in the Marriott Center.

The loss was only the third of the season for the 25th ranked Gaels, which fell to 18-3 overall and 9-2 against West Coast Conference opposition. BYU improved to 17-7 overall and 8-3 in league play. The Cougars won their 11th home game without a loss and their 16th straight game at the Marriott Center, dating back to last season.

Saint Mary's junior Joe Rahon led the Gaels in scoring with 17 points, while Calvin Hermanson was the only other SMC player in double figures with 17.
