ATLANTA — Already a consideration for the Kareem Abdul-Jabaar award for the nation’s top center, Jock Landale picked up another high recognition, as he is among the top-30 considered for the 2017 James A. Naismith Trophy, it was announced today.
The James A. Naismith Trophy is presented to the nation’s most outstanding college basketball player.
Through 23 games, Jock Landale leads No. 20 Saint Mary’s in points per game (16.9), rebounds per game (9.5) and blocks per game (1.2). The 6-11 junior is also among the nation’s leader in double-doubles with 10.
