NEW YORK — Jock Landale has been announced as part of the 2017 Associated Press All-America Team, the AP announced today.
Landale was chosen as an Honorable Mention by the 65-member national media panel that votes on the AP Top 25 national ranking.
Landale is the first Gael to be honored as an All-American since Matthew Dellavedova was named Honorable Mention in 2012-13.
The 6-11 junior was a dominant force for the Gaels and the historical season. Landale led the team in points, rebounds, blocks and field-goal percentage. He was fourth in the West Coast Conference in points per game (16.
