ST. LOUIS — After leading nationally-ranked No. 19 Saint Mary’s in points, rebounds, blocks and double-doubles, Jock Landale continued to gather national recognition after being named to the USBWA All-District IX Team.
Landale enters the postseason averaging 16.8 points per game (5th WCC), 9.3 rebounds (1st WCC, 38th NCAA), 1.2 blocks (6th WCC) and 15 double-doubles (21st NCAA).
The junior big man recorded starts in all 32 games for the Gaels, averaging 27.7 minutes per game.
Landale was honored on the All-WCC First Team for the first time in his career. He was also named to the top-30 list for the Naismith Trophy, and was named as a top-10 finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabaar award given to the nation’s top center.
