MORAGA, Calif. -- The battle for the West Coast Conference regular season title should become a little clearer this weekend when the Saint Mary's men's basketball team travels to the Pacific Northwest for key games at Portland and Gonzaga.
At 20-4 overall and 11-3 in league play, second place Saint Mary's enters Thursday's 7 p.m. tipoff at Portland as one of four teams with a mathematical chance to finish at the top of the league standings.
The Gaels sit just one game behind the league-leading Bulldogs and one ahead of third-place BYU with four games remaining.
