LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team limited Loyola Marymount to just 26.7 percent from the field in the second-half as the Gaels pulled away with a 60-48 win in a West Coast Conference quarterfinal match up at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night.
Down by four at halftime, the Gaels outscored the Lions 35-19 in the second-half. Dane Pineau four Gaels in double-figures with 16 points, adding eight rebounds. Emmett Naar finished with 14 points and six assists. Calvin Hermanson and Joe Rahon added 10 points apiece.
With the win, Saint Mary’s improves to 26-5, while LMU drops to 14-17.
