LAS VEGAS – The Saint Mary's men's basketball team was picked to finish second in the preseason All-West Coast Conference poll voted on the coaches and announced by the conference office Thursday at media day in Las Vegas.
The Gaels finished with one point ahead of BYU in the poll and followed Gonzaga, who was voted the favorite to win the conference.
Junior guard Jordan Ford was recognized by the conference coaches as one of 10 preseason all-conference selections.
Ford finished last season as one of the Gaels' hottest players, leading the team in scoring during the NIT, averaged 19.
