MORAGA, Calif. — The nation’s best shooting team was back at it again Saturday, as the Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team made 11 3-pointers and earned its 20th win of the season with a 68-62 West Coast Conference triumph over Loyola Marymount at McKeon Pavilion.
The Gaels (20-4, 11-3 WCC) shot 55 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 51.1 percent in the game. Saint Mary’s shot 61.1 percent in the second half alone, including pushing its lead to as much as 18 after forcing the Lions (11-15, 4-11 WCC) to miss their first seven shots of the period.
