SYDNEY – The Saint Mary's men's basketball team had an eventful day on the 10th day of their foreign tour down under on Tuesday in Sydney.
Facing another tough test against the NBL's Illawarra Hawks, the Gaels controlled most of the game and won 86-77 at the Illawarra Basketball Stadium, otherwise known as the Snake Pit.
The Gaels went back-and-forth early on with the Hawks, before taking a 44-38 lead at halftime. Saint Mary's never looked back in the second half and led by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter.
