MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary's men's basketball team kicked off its foreign tour down under with a full day of travel, leaving San Francisco to Auckland, New Zealand, before connecting through to Christchurch, New Zealand. The Gaels left Friday night out of the Bay Area and arrived on the South Island of New Zealand on Sunday afternoon.
As the Gaels arrived in Christchurch, they had several family members waiting to greet them. Freshmen Quinn Clinton and Dan Fotu, both are from New Zealand, with Clinton hailing from Christchurch and Fotu from Auckland.
