MORAGA, Calif. -- On the brink of capturing his third West Coast Conference regular season title in the past six seasons with a potential win this Saturday night against Bay Area rival USF, Saint Mary’s men’s basketball Head Coach Randy Bennett has certainly put together one of his most memorable seasons in his 15 years at SMC.
After losing all five starters from the 2014-2015 season and picked to finish fourth by the conference's coaches, no one really knew what to expect from this year’s young squad.
“I had no idea what we had at the start of the year, but we just continue to try to improve and get better,” explained Bennett when asked about his early impression on the Gaels’ team and new season.
