SAN MATEO, Calif. — After a strong week of shooting, Alex Ducas has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Ducas was instrumental in leading the Gaels to a 2-0 week in WCC play, helping their record climb to 3-1 in WCC games.
Ducas was the hottest-shooting Gael this past week as SMC swept both of their WCC opponents in Santa Clara and Loyola Marymount. Ducas had 17 points to tie for the team lead in the win over Santa Clara, and led the Gaels with 22 against Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
