SAN MATEO, Calif. — Returning from their first tournament of the season, Saint Mary's senior Dan Fotu has been named the West Coast Conference's Player of the Week for the period ending November 28.
Fotu was one of five named to the All-Tournament team at the Maui Invitational, helping Saint Mary's reach the championship game during their first-ever appearance. He scored 22 points in 22 minutes in the Gaels first round win over Notre Dame, going 8-9 from the floor and 3-3 from beyond the arc. He also hit the eventual game-winning three-pointer with less than a minute remaining to put SMC up for good.
