MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s lacrosse team begins the 2016 season on Tuesday when it travels to nationally ranked Stanford for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Bay Area Network.
Second-year head coach Jessica Mucci lost two important starters from last year’s squad, but returns several underclassmen who gained valuable experience last season. This year the Gaels will have just one senior in Kellie Barker, along with five juniors, eight sophomores and three freshmen.
Sophomore Claire Healy returns after leading the Gaels in points with 10 goals and 17 assists as a freshman.
