STANFORD, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s lacrosse team dropped its 2016 season opener at nationally ranked Stanford on Tuesday night on the Cardinal campus.
Emily Mack took the Gaels first shot of the season on goal as it was saved at the 11:43 mark in the second half.
Jocelyn Lubert scored at the 2:42 mark past a double team to score the first goal of the year for the Gaels.
Stanford who led the conference in scoring last season, jumped out to an early lead and did not look back in the 20-1 win.
