MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary’s lacrosse (1-7, 0-3 MPSF) continued to battle hard, but eventually fell to fellow Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rival UC Davis (4-5, 1-2 MPSF), 20-6.
The Gaels totaled 13 shots and collected 11 ground balls against the Aggies. SMC was 13-for-19 on clear attempts, as UCD was a perfect 14-for-14 on clear attempts.
Meagan Bennett gave the Gaels the early 1-0 lead after a successful free-position shot at the 28:50 mark. Bennett now has nine goals on the season. Bennett also collected two ground balls, and forced a pair of turnovers.
