MORAGA, Calif. -- After averaging 16 points and connecting on nearly half of his long range shot attempts in the SMC basketball team's three victories last week, sophomore forward Calvin Hermanson was named the SMC Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week.
A native of Lake Oswego, Ore., Hermanson helped the Gaels post convincing victories over Utah Valley, BYU and San Diego to run their record to a sparkling 13-1 on the season and a perfect 4-0 against West Coast Conference competition.
He poured in 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting in the highly anticipated showdown against BYU, including an impressive 5-for-7 showing from behind the 3-point arc.
