MORAGA, Calif. — Blake Hathcoat has been named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week after posting a second-place finish this weekend at the Silicon Valley Amateur held at Bayland Golf Links in Palo Alto.
Hathcoat finished as runner-up out of 54 competitors at the two-day tournament with a score of 12-under. The senior shot a 5-under 67 in the opening round followed by a 7-under 65 in the final round which was tops among the field. Hathcoat opened the event with seven birdies on the front 9 and ended up scoring 64 across the front 9 between the two rounds.
