STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Saint Mary's Golf had a strong showing on day one of their first ever Rutherford Invitational hosted by Penn State. The Gaels finished the first two rounds in third place of 14 teams and with two players in the top six of 78 golfers.
Freshmen Mitchell Hoey and Kristian Bressum are atop the leaderboard for the Gaels. Hoey is tied for second at 3-under par, is third in par fours, and has made an eagle.
