STANFORD, Calif. — Saint Mary’s jumped six spots in the standings to finish the second round of The Goodwin in ninth place out of 24 teams. The Gaels shot a 290 combined score on Friday, an eight stroke improvement over Thursday’s performance.
Connor Blick led Gaels with a 1-over 71 middle round. Blick recorded three birdies on the afternoon, two of which came on par-5’s. Perry Cohen and Roman Aragon followed close behind Blick, each with scores of 2-over 72.
Cohen’s round was highlighted by an eagle on the 7th hole while Aragon would’ve posted one of the best scores of the afternoon had it not been for a triple-bogey on the 13th hole.
