PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The strong play of freshman Mithell Hoey continued on day two of the 15th annual SMC Invitational with fellow freshman Connor Reis joining him near the top of the leaderboard.
Hoey climbed four spots to second overall among the 104 golfers at the tournament after shooting a 70 on day two to be 6-under par overall and is tied for second in birdies made with 10. Reis shot up nine spots to third place after shooting a 68 on day two to make 5-under par for the two rounds combined.
