PROVO, Utah — Saint Mary's held their position during the final round of play at the PING Cougar Classic to finish seventh out of 20 teams. The Gaels shot 283 on Saturday which was seven strokes better than their previous round.
THE LEADERBOARD
SMC's 5-under performance in the last round resulted in a 12-under overall score. The Gaels finished one stroke ahead of both Wyoming and Denver and five back of No. 50 Utah who came in sixth. No. 28 San Francisco won the tournament by 13 strokes at 41-under.
Ethan Ashbrook shot 2-under on Saturday to conclude the tourney tied for seventh at 8-under, his best result so far this season.
