Stella Beck scored a career-high 27 points at Loyola Marymount to earn the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team (19-6, 10-4 WCC) a weekend road split of the Los Angeles schools with the WCC tournament looming larger.
Beck went 10-11 from the field against the Lions and was 100 percent from the free throw line in the 91-81 win. She was one of six Gaels who scored in double figures against a team that’s been stumbling through conference play. Katie Rathbun was the only Gael without a rebound.
