MORAGA, Calif. — After leading the Saint Mary's men's basketball team to a 2-0 start to begin the season, Jordan Ford has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 5-11.
In the Gaels' season opener, Ford put up 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting while also dishing out five assists as the team's point guard. Yesterday against Utah Valley, the Folsom, Calif. native had a career night as he posted a personal-best 35 points and four steals in SMC's 92-63 blowout of the Wolverines.
With 58 points through the first two games, Ford ranks eighth in the nation in total points and is tied for fifth among players who have played two or fewer games.
