MORAGA, Calif. — After helping Saint Mary's Men's Soccer win their final road game of the 2021-22 season, freshman striker Riley Lynch was selected as this week's Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week.
Lynch netted the game-winning goal late in the first half, just six minutes after Gonzaga tied the score at 1-1. Sebastian Schacht took the ball away from a Gonzaga player and then passed the ball ahead to Lynch, who worked a give-and-go with Andrew Rotter before Lynch buried a left-footed shot over the leaping keeper to make it 2-1 Saint Mary's.
