MORAGA, Calif. — For the second time this season, Connor Linchey of Saint Mary's baseball has been honored as the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week. Connor picked up the win for the Gaels on Saturday as a part of a sweep weekend against the University of San Francisco.
Linchey earned the Saturday start for the Gaels against the Dons, and was perfect through the first four innings, eventually going 7.2 innings of shutout baseball while fanning seven. The senior right hander worked around five different Don base runners, stranding them all on the basepaths, as he and combined for the team's third shutout victory of the year.
