STOCKTON, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s beach volleyball team made it a sweep this time over West Coast Conference foe Pacific, as the Gaels took down the Tigers 5-0 Tuesday at the Raney Volleyball Courts.
The contest was a rematch from eight days earlier, when the Gaels (7-3) beat Pacific (3-8) 4-1 in SMC’s first home match of the season on March 13. On Tuesday, Saint Mary’s won the top four pairs in straight sets. Madi Wilkerson and Sienna Young had another exciting match against Pacific’s Ashlyn Fleming and Skylar Wine. After falling in the first set, they won set two, 21-16, then pushed the tiebreaker past the maximum points before clinching, 17-15.
