MORAGA, Calif. — An extended stretch away from home continues this week for the Saint Mary’s baseball team, though the Gaels do get to play in the Bay Area Tuesday when they travel across the Bay to face Stanford at 5:30 p.m. at Sunken Diamond.
The Gaels (5-3) went 1-2 in Phoenix at last weekend’s GCU Classic hosted by Grand Canyon University. After a 15-4 win Friday over defending Mid-American Conference champion Central Michigan, Saint Mary’s fell Saturday to Southeastern Conference member Tennessee, 6-3, and to defending Western Athletic Conference champion and host Grand Canyon, 8-3, on Sunday.
