TUCSON, Ariz. — Another comeback win Friday for the Saint Mary’s baseball team snapped its three-game losing skid and kicked off the 2016 Wildcat Classic in victorious style, as the Gaels came from behind to beat CSU Bakersfield, 10-7, at Hi Corbett Field.
It was the fourth time in three weeks that the Gaels (6-4) came from behind to win. This time it was a five-run eighth inning to put them on top for good, giving them their second win of the season when trailing after the seventh inning.
Saint Mary’s was one hit short of its season high with 12 Friday while scoring 10 runs for the third time.
