MORAGA, Calif. - Ryan Pierce tore it up last week smashing three home runs while hitting .444 from the plate to earn his second WCC Player of the Week award this season. The Gaels went 4-0 last week with a midweek win over Nevada and a series sweep over Pacific to improve to 10-8 in WCC play. Pierce hit a solo-home run to dead center in their 13-8 win over the Wolf Pack and then hit a pair of home runs in their weekend series against the Tigers. As a team, the Gaels have now won Conference Player of the Week four times for the most of any WCC school.
