SAN FRANCISCO — Brett Rasso was a spark plug for the Saint Mary’s baseball team Friday, starting three scoring rallies with three hits and three runs scored to lead the Gaels to a 5-3 West Coast Conference series-opening victory at Benedetti Diamond.
Rasso went 4 for 4 with a double, three runs and two stolen bases Friday. It was his base hits in the third, fifth and seventh innings that led to runs for Saint Mary’s (19-10, 4-3 WCC). Rasso’s perfect showing at the plate snapped a 3-for-33 cold streak he was on dating to March 18.
