PROVO, Utah — BYU completed a three-game West Coast Conference series sweep over the Saint Mary’s baseball team Saturday with dominating performances both on the mound and at the plate, as the Cougars beat the Gaels 14-1 in the series finale at Miller Park.
Hayden Rogers (2-1) limited the Gaels (17-10, 3-3 WCC) to just one run on two hits in eight innings. He posted three three-up, three-down innings over his final five and only allowed one base runner in the others. He struck out four and walked four.
Meanwhile Keaton Kringlen had a career day at the plate for the Cougars (14-11, 4-2 WCC).
