BSB | Gaels Sweep Doubleheader From Seattle U

MORAGA, Calif. — Runs were more scarce Saturday than on Opening Day, but the Saint Mary’s baseball team showed its versatility by winning in multiple ways, first emerging victorious in a pitchers’ duel, then coming from behind for the second time in as many days to sweep a doubleheader from Seattle University, 1-0 and 5-2, at Louis Guisto Field.

Saint Mary’s (3-0) rode the arm of Johnny York in game one and overcame a 2-0 deficit in the second half of game two. The Gaels stranded 24 total runners during Saturday’s doubleheader, but committed zero defensive errors compared to Seattle’s (0-3) four errors.
