SAN FRANCISCO — A pitchers’ duel came all the way down to the 14th inning Saturday, where the Saint Mary’s baseball team’s Andrew Shebloski delivered the eventual game-winning hit to clinch a West Coast Conference series victory for the Gaels with a 2-1 win over San Francisco at Benedetti Diamond.
Shebloski’s go-ahead hit came with two outs in the 14th. He sent an 0-1 pitch from Benji Post (4-2) right back up the middle to score Brett Rasso and give SMC (20-10, 5-3 WCC) the 2-1 lead. Rasso started the go-ahead rally with a walk and scored the go-ahead run after going 4 for 4 and scoring three of their five runs on Friday.
