MORAGA, Calif. — Plenty of offense will be provided this season by the Saint Mary’s infield, as the Gaels return all four starters from a year ago – all who batted .319 or better. But there’s plenty of depth and competition in the infield to keep things interesting as the 2016 season begins this week.
The returning infielders from a year ago – Austin Chauvin, Zach Kirtley, Austin Piscotty, Brett Rasso, Logan Steinberg and Anthony Villa – hit a collective .308 last season with 39 doubles.
