SEATTLE — Pitching ruled the day for the University of Washington Sunday, as three pitchers combined to shutout the Saint Mary’s baseball team and lead the Huskies to a 3-0 non-conference win in the series finale at Husky Ballpark.
Saint Mary’s (22-15) made contact all game, making 21 of 27 outs on groundouts or flyouts, but it had only three runners reach scoring position. Joey Fiske went 1 for 3 to extend his hitting streak to seven games. Anthony Villa led the Gaels with his 12th multi-hit game of the year, going 2 for 4 with a double.
