DAVIS, Calif. — Four lead changes and scoring in all but one inning marked a wild mid-week non-conference matchup Tuesday between Saint Mary's and UC Davis, with the Aggies emerging victorious 11-10 after fighting off a late Gaels rally at Dobbins Baseball Complex.
The Gaels (28-16) loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth and nearly tied the game, falling short with the tying run on third base and lead RBI man Kevin Milam at the plate, who would pop out to end it. Saint Mary's held two different leads Tuesday. It jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first frame and eventually led 4-2 through three.
