MORAGA, Calif. — As the month of January winds down, the signs of baseball season start winding up. For three consecutive days this weekend, the Saint Mary’s baseball team will take part in three different events that will bring the Gaels even closer to the start of the 2016 season.
The weekend begins Friday for the Gaels with the first day of full team practice in 2016, beginning at 1 p.m. at Louis Guisto Field. The day is exactly three weeks out from Opening Day on Feb. 19 versus Seattle University.
“We are really excited about starting team practice this week,” said Saint Mary’s head coach Eric Valenzuela.
